This past Mother’s Day, I conducted a giveaway over on Instagram for a motherhood portrait session. When Keisha won, I was so excited to meet her and her adorable little boy in the studio for a session. She traveled to Oklahoma City all the way from Tulsa and we had the best time getting to know one another at her session. There was such a sweet bond between her and her six month old son, Lane and I was tickled to be able to document that. Keisha brought two gorgeous dresses and the most adorable little overalls for Lane and it all just flowed seamlessly and turned out to be one of my favorite sessions to date!
Documenting motherhood is something so incredibly close to my heart. It’s my “why” and reason I do what I do. As a mother, I realize that every moment is so valuable and so fleeting. You just don’t get this time back with your little ones and it’s so important to have something to help you remember what this season was like.
I loved having this beautiful mama and her sweet six month old girl in my studio for a special milestone motherhood session. I photographed baby alone and documented all the adorable things this age brings, then we added mommy for the sweetest captures of the two of them together and the love they share for each other.
Motherhood is my heart. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from this session…
