She melted my heart with her sweet smile and beautiful red hair. I was so tickled to be able to get this family in for their newborn portrait session today before she hits the two week mark tomorrow. It was a cold and gloomy day, but the studio was warm and the cloudy light flooded in magically.

Baby Connor’s Glimpse | Oklahoma City Newborn Photographer

A new baby is like the beginning of all things—wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.

I was especially excited to meet this little baby for an in-home newborn session yesterday. Several weeks ago his parents and I met for coffee to discuss their desires for a maternity and newborn  portrait session. Shortly after we met that evening, his mama was admitted to the hospital so I packed up my gear and we did the maternity session at the hospital of all places. Although it wasn’t our ideal location, it turned out beautifully (You can see it here). 

I was so happy when they contacted me with the news that little Connor had arrived and I had the loveliest time capturing them as a family yesterday morning. I feel so honored to be a small part of this special time in their lives.
